BEST Mathematics book For JEE Preparation

Being a JEE Math Mentor, I see this question as to the most difficult one. Teaching 100s of top rankers is easy but choosing one best book among 100s of available books is difficult. I often come across this question in my typical math class.
For “one best book for theory in math for IIT-JEE preparation”. I suggest students to follow the chosen book religiously. Attempting some portion of one book and some part of another book can only create conceptual confusion. Talking about the most popular category of JEE preparing students, i.e. two-year classroom program (and attending school classes simultaneously). Most of JEE top rankers come from this category. As student joins coaching classes, we provide them study packages. In addition to completing dpp/cpp and study packages.

These students have very limited time for self-study. In any scenario, they cant solve more than 200-300 questions from a single chapter. So I recommend Decoding Mathematics for JEE Wiley This book is the most innovative book covering each and every point of the syllabus with a limited number of high-quality questions.

Students who join two year coaching classes in non attending mode: These students have lots of self study time, so in addition to dpp/cpp and study package they need to follow a book that covers around 500 questions in each chapter. Amit M agrawal, R D Sharma and G Tewani (Cengage publication) are best suited for such students.

Students who join coaching classes after passing 12th board exams (12th pass category): These guy's are having very limited time and high stress level. If you are in this category, I suggest you to target only 100 questions from each chapter. If you are lacking in conceptual clarity you can follow Decoding Mathematics for JEE Wiley Vol 1 for 11th and Vol2 for 12th.

Decoding Mathematics for JEE, by A K Pandey, covers the theory part very intuitively, attaching few images below.

In any case, if you are a JEE aspirant, avoid following a book that carries 1000s of questions in each chapter. Following such a book should be avoided by 12th pass students (droppers) also.

RD Sharma, M.L Khanna, G Tewani, S.K. Goyal or Amit M Agrawal can be followed by students preparing JEE Mains/ Advanced in non-attending schools mode.

I personally like the concept MAP feature of Wiley's Decoding Mathematics for JEE

this helps students review the whole chapter quickly. (see image below)
